  97th Infantry Division Patch, The 97th Infantry Division was a unit in WW1 and WW2. She was originally trained in amphibious assault in preparation for deployment to the Pacific Theater. It was deployed to Europe in 1944 when it was necessary to replace casualties from the Battle of the Bulge.
